So, due to the last meeting's problems, I need to add last week's episode to this week's showings. Unfortunately, that means I need to cut Trigun: Badland Rumble from the showing because now we have a whopping 14 episodes to watch (usual 8 + the last episode of Legend of the Legendary Heroes, the last two episodes of Bakuman, and the last 3 episodes on Nurarihyon), unless there is an overwhelming force to not watch a certain series. I plan on skipping endings for non-end-episodes and plan to start early. This should hopefully get us an end at a reasonable time.

So, due to Spring Break technically starting on Friday, and with that, everything on campus closes down tighter than Canti's jaws when he eats Naota. We won't be meeting this weekend (the 26th). Since campus doesn't open up again until Sunday/Monday-ish, we won't be meeting the Saturday after that (the 5th). We will resume regular meetings on the 12th.
Hopefully, there is a chance that it won't happen, but, again "hopefully," we will be arranging a few movies/marathon nights where we'll either be watching a few movies or marathoning some "Classic" anime series. We don't have a reservation for the room or anything yet so this is all tentative. More news shall be reported as it comes up.
Enjoy your Spring Breaks Everyone!

Well, out of the shows we watched last week, there were clear winners and a few that were harder to choose between. Our line up is as follows:
Shinryaku Ika Musume
The World God Only Knows
The Legend of the Legendary Heroes
Nurarihyon no Mago
Bakuman
For those of you who may be disappointed with this line up, we will have the other series and more added to the library as soon as we can, so you can pay the fee and get access to the vidplayer and the library of several TERABYTES of anime.
I hope you all enjoy the semester as much as I think I will.
On Thursday, January 20th at 8:00pm, the theater Kalamazoo 10 is having a special showing of the live action Gantz movie and I plan to see it. Anyone that wants to come with is free to. I only have so much room in my car and I would love to see at least double the number of people my car can hold in the theater when we go to see it. If you need to know anything else let me know.
If you are not in the Kalamazoo 10 area, here's a list of other theaters throughout the country that will be playing it:

If you don't know about the Gantz series, look it up, or borrow it from the library (if you've paid for membership).
With the finales of this semester's series finished, we're back to focusing on the terror of exams. For those of you who happened to miss them due to not showing up, hopefully studying, will not have to worry too much. I'll work to get a few of the episodes on the vidplayer AFTER EXAMS. Before then, don't get your hopes up. I'll be sure to add a few episodes of something from my own collection while we're all out. Also, over the course of break, the vidplayer will be open to all members, but once the break's over you're going to have to pay for it again.
We have our listing of what we're going to show for next semester lined up and have a few ideas for you whiners. Speaking of next semester, I am still looking for more E-Board members and potential candidates for President after I graduate. It's good to learn how to be president while the current one is still here, it definitely helped me figure everything out.
When we come back, our first meeting will be on January 15th, in room 1220 of the Chem Building, unless we get moved, but I'll be sure to send a much more detailed message. Hope to see you all and more when classes restart.
First off, on the 19th of this year, the Japan Club's Japan Festival is going to happen at Trimpe. For those of you who are not aware of where this place is, it is past Faunce and there is a big sign much like every other building on campus. We will have a booth, as we usually do, and you should attend. If you want more information on the Japan festival, here is a link to their Facebook page: [link]
Secondly, since this CONTINUES to be a PROBLEM, if you are unable to find us in the Chem Building like usual, we will be situated in my dorm, Davis, and if for some reason that doesn't pan out we will either be cancelled or have our meeting in the SALP's SOC's conference room.
For anyone who is going to be around on the 30th, the meeting after next, we are having our annual Halloween Cosplay Contest. If you have a costume you particularly love to wear that is related to anime, wear it and come up. We'll have some prizes for the best costume and whatever other categories I can think up.
If you have any special questions just PM me.
We have clearance to use a new room due to Sangren being under construction/renovation. Our new room is located in the Chemistry Building, room 1220. I hear it is a nice lecture hall, but I have yet to actually see it yet so I guess we'll all find out together. We are still starting at roughly 2:00pm like we usually do.
As many of you know, just before the start of the summer we lost our office space and are now operating in a hap hazardous way. The VHS and manga part of the library are currently closed off, but we still have the DVDs. Membership is still $5.00 per semester. We will be setting up something if you want to borrow something during the week, but for the near future you will need to come to meetings if you want to borrow something.
Don't forget to check out the website when you have a chance this year. I would like to see more action on it or else we might have to scrap it. Unfortunately, the vidplayer on the website won't be updating right away at the start of the year.
Our current line up is as follows:
Angel Beats
Heroman
Baka to Test to Shokanju
K-ON Season 2
High School of the Dead
Thank you for your continued patronage and support.
Turns out we don't have any. We don't have an office for the next year so wee need to get all of our stuff out of there by the 7th of May. If anyone wants to help PM me and I'll let you know when we're getting out of there. Also, we need some space to hold a lot of this stuff cause I can tell right now that we aren't going to get nearly enough room, especially seeing as how we didn't get enough room this year even with an office space in the area.
The tentative plan is to store the stuff at my house until we can get our hands on some proper storage space. This includes the discs, the tapes, the manga, and the games.
