The Japan Foundation's spring 2010 film festival will feature four new Japanese films. All screenings are planned for 7 p.m. at Western Michigan University's Little Theater (northwest corner Oliver Lane and Oakland Drive) and are open to the public free of charge. One of the films is animation. The movies are not DVD, real films with English Subtitles!

comment(s): 1We need some people to step up and fill in the now vacant position of Vice President. If you are interested in the position then just give me a message and I'll give you some more information on the position and I'll see whoever is up for the position. Please respond fast and we'll figure this out as fast as we can.
If any of you are able to find time in your schedules our last meeting of the year is this Saturday. Hopefully you're all not being killed by your exam schedule studying for tests and writing papers.
If you aren't under the crushing pain of finals, come anyways and enjoy the finales of the shows we've been watching all semester.
Also, we can't lend out discs over break so you can't borrow any if you want to. Although, the vidplayer will become free during break and you can watch some OVAs or whatever I feel like showing on there.
Have a nice break and don't let finals get to you.
So there this festival at the Wesley Foundation on Monday, November 16, 2009. We have a nice booth and you should come talk to us and see all the wonderful things set up about Japanese Life and Culture. It will be between 6 and 8pm.
During our meeting on Halloween, we are holding a Cosplay Costume so come down and show off your Cosplay costumes to try to win some free stuff. Costumes must be of an Anime Character and you have to be there at the meeting to win. Come down and win free stuff.
Hello Anime Addicts!
I've made a few changes to the website, some visual, some functional. I guess you can notice the avatars for the news posts right away. I've also removed the expanded profiles as they were kinda suck.
The "Members Only" page now includes some new options. The library listing is now *gasp* readable. (Ctrl-F to search!) I've also added the ability for members to submit news articles here. They need to be admin approved but if you guys have something interesting to post as news for members of Anime Addicts post! We'll receive a notice when you submit something. You can also now upload files for other AA members to download. Though keep it clean and on the level! We'll be moderating the uploads and approving them. I've replaced the RSS feed with the link to our Facebook group and clicking the image for our showing times will send you to google maps for the location of Sangren incase you need direction. There might be some other changes I missed.
Our office has a brand new used computer. It's actually one of mine hacked together from slightly older parts. It's decent though and has a GPU than can at least play games like Team Fortress 2. If your holding office hours feel free to game on it! (No, It can't run Crysis.)
It's all setup and ready to go. We could still use a nicer monitor though if anyone wants to donate one. We can always use donations of DVD Rs as well. We go through them like candy.
Oh, one last thing. I went ahead and created a twitter account for WMUAnime. If your twatting or tweeting or whatever you can follow us at [link] . I'll try to post interesting things every once in awhile. The office computer has a twitter app as well so feel free to announce to the world when your holding office hours or something weird happens, like we actually get a new member.
Have a good one!
-Jesse

We have a Facebook event for the people up on there and and so you can Facebook Spam your friends until they come too. Same room as always, Sangren 2302 and if you can just find the building I'll have people at various parts of it to help you find the room.
We have been approved for our office space in the new area of the Bernhard made for the RSOs. We'll need some help with moving what we can into the new space and store the stuff that doesn't fit. Also, it's be nice to have a desk we can lock some stuff into if need be.
As for the Bronco Bash Booth, we'll need some random anime stuff to show off at the booth, plushies, figures, and what have you. We'll make sure to not lose them to people that may think that it's free swag like on some other tables. Also, if anyone has some nice ideas for new flyers, we can start giving those out to the students that wander our way. I have no idea if we still have any of the old FLCL flyers, but I also have no idea how old those are.
So, this weekend is the weekend before finals and our last meeting. Being our last meeting, it means get your discs back to us or else you're going to be in some serious crap.
Due to lack of administrators and pedos I had to close all of the boards in Broncochan.
If you guys want it back open for some reason, or someone wants to run it then let Sean or Alex know.
